Abbott Miller is a designer and writer who focuses on art, design, architecture, performance, and identity. He is a partner in the international design firm Pentagram, where he leads a team that creates exhibitions, digital media, publications, and environmental graphics. He has developed a series of apps that explore dance and choreography, working with dancers and musicians to conceive of the screen as a platform for performance He has published several books on design, including a monograph of his work called "Abbott Miller: Design and Content." He is the recipient of the AIGA Medal, the highest honor of his profession. Recent projects include the design of “Exhibitionism,” a traveling exhibition on the Rolling Stones, a new graphic identity for Baltimore Center Stage, and a new issue of Dance Ink magazine focused on the intersection of dance and lettering. He is the author of Dimensional Typography: Words in Space, and, Design for a Living World.
