The Robert Busch School of Design, Michael Graves College at Kean University is accepting applications for its summer Precollege Program: Design Camp, a four-week design program for students ages 15-17 years old — enthusiastic campers interested in advertising design, graphic design, interior design, or industrial design.
Thinking Creatively Design Campers will work with Kean design faculty, visiting professional designers, and art directors in a fun, creative, and collaborative environment to develop original design solutions to real-world assignments and expand creative thinking.
ACTIVITIES include individual studio projects, a professionally organized design charrette, a field trip to a professional studio and / or design event, critiques, group and team studio projects, final portfolio exhibition and reception.
The MGC PRECOLLEGE PROGRAM: DESIGN CAMP will run from JULY 8th THROUGH AUGUST 1st, 9:30am TO 3:15pm, Monday through Thursday, on the Kean University campus in Union, NJ.
Campers will learn the foundations of creative design through innovative, active exercises and projects. They’ll also get a chance to see their work displayed in an exhibition and virtually on the MGC Precollege Program: Design Camp website and social media.
THE COST for the standard option for participating campers is $950. (A deposit of $300 is due at registration.)
